A founding board member of the Tropical Forest Group in 2005, Jeff Metcalfe became the second volunteer-director of TFG in September 2007. He helped TFG gain status as a California non-profit corporation (2005); status as an accredited observer to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate change (2006); and federal non-profit 501c3 status (2007). In the private sector, Jeff works for Smith-Dahmer Associates L.L.C., assisting companies in product design, brand positioning and communications. Prior to TFG, Jeff helped initiate and coordinate a 30-person team in Montreal (COP11, 2005) to bring photogenic and targeted conservation messages to media outlets around the world.
