Tracy Johns has served as an expert
on forest inventories at the 2005 UNFCCC workshop on annual
inventory software, as well as a technical expert for the
Coalition for Rainforest Nations policy workshop on avoided
deforestation. Tracy completed an analysis of Kyoto
Protocol forestry policy while an intern at the UNFCCC in
2005. She has a background in field ecology, including
participation in projects in riparian ecology, forest ecology,
and as a part of the Phoenix Long Term Ecological Research
(LTER) project in urban ecology. She completed her
Master of Science degree in Environmental Policy/Ecology
with the Consortium for Science, Policy and Outcomes at Arizona
State University, and has co-authored papers on options for
future forest policy beyond the Kyoto Protocol 1st Commitment
Period. Tracy currently lives in Tempe, AZ, and spends
her free time rock climbing, traveling, and trail running.
