Glen works as Senior Scientist at the Danum
Valley Field Centre, Sabah, Malaysia and Programme
Manager of the Royal
Society’s South East Asia Rainforest Research Programme
(SEARRP) and has been based in Sabah since 1998. His

of dipterocarps as part of a 30,000 ha forest rehabilitation
programme part-funded by the FACE

is involved (with colleagues from Imperial College, University
of Zurich and Universiti Malaysia Sabah) in the Sabah

ecological experiment based close to Danum which aims to
investigate the ecosystem and biodiversity implications
of forest rehabilitation by enrichment planting. He is
also working with colleagues from the Royal
Botanic Gardens Kew, ProForest, WWF and
the Sabah Foundation to develop a Malaysian toolkit for
the identification, management and monitoring of High Conservation
Value Forests within the context of the FSC forest certification
scheme.
