Carl Palmer is Principal and co-founder of Beartooth Capital, a leading impact investment fund whose mission is to generate strong investment returns, real conservation results and community benefits. Beartooth works in collaboration with leading conservation organizations to acquire, restore, enhance and protect important ranches across the West. Beartooth’s first two funds search the inefficient western ranch market for undervalued assets with substantial potential for value creation. Carl previously served as President and CEO of Greenbridges, LLC, a conservation-oriented real estate investment company and was Executive Director of the Ogden Nature Center, a land trust and education center in Utah. Carl worked with the Teton Science Schools and Grand Teton National Park to launch the Murie Center and he now serves on the board of the Teton Science Schools. He received a BA in Architectural Studies and a BA in Environmental Studies with Honors from Brown University and earned his MBA from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University where he was President of the Public Management Program. Carl lives in Santa Barbara, California with his wife Carrie and their two children.
